I must have been Chinese in a former life. I am passionate about everything that has to do with China, be it Chinese culture, Chinese brush painting, Tai Chi, music or Chinese cuisine.
But, most of all, I enjoy looking at Chinese brush paintings. I am always amazed how the extraordinary Chinese brush captures instantaneously, the vital life force of nature in a way that cannot be captured by any other medium. The brush strokes in Chinese brush paintings are elegant, yet strong, and show the reverence that the artists have for nature. I am deeply grateful that I have the opportunity to learn and teach this ancient way of painting.
